The triennial Natural Gas Conversion Symposium series began in 1987 to bring together scientists and engineers from academia and industry working in the field of natural gas conversion. Over the years, the conference’s scope broadened, and in recent editions, the production of sustainable aviation fuels and the use of CO2 for chemical production have featured strongly. The conference will feature plenary lectures, keynote speeches, invited speeches, oral presentations, and poster sessions to exchange and discuss the latest and cutting-edge technologies and research progress in gas conversion, modeling, and catalytic materials. It will be an important international conference on raw materials, energy carriers, and catalysis.
The various editions have visited all continents, reflecting the global nature of the field.

The orderly continuation of the symposia series is overseen by a non-profit corporation -the Natural Gas Conversion Board- established for that purpose. Current members of the board are listed below. The board is chaired by Prof. Reinhard Schomäcker, and please reach out to him with questions or if you want to learn the requirements for a bid to organize the 15th edition of the conference in 2030 (schomaecker@tu-berlin.de).
